Squadron Commander

Russell M. Davis, Capt, CAP

Welcome
The Cleveland County Composite Squadron has been established at Max Westheimer Airport for over sixty years.  No one has been able to tell us exactly when the squadron was founded, but it has been in existence for many years, now.

After many years of an "itinerant" existence, the squadron is now housed in a somewhat permanent location.  The University of Oklahoma has graciously provided the location.  The facilities themselves were built by the cadets and seniors using donated materials.

The squadron is a flying unit.  Cadets receive orientation rides according to a national syllabus.

Six to eight times per year, the squadron participates in statewide exercises for Search and Rescue (SAREX) to practice its skills.

Each summer the cadets have the opportunity to participate in various cadet activities at the state and national level.
